French Growth Charts

The Growth Chart Component for France is developed using the Carnet de Santé population data set and are presented in the same format as the previous paper charts.

Specific to the French is the use of linear scales with millimetric divisions. Any country can use the format merely by changing the underlying reference tables.

The French growth data is presented in nine chart formats and four age ranges:

  • Individual growth charts for boys and girls (all with 3rd, 25th, 75th and 97th percentile lines, except for BMI)

Age range 0-3 years charts:

  • Height (Taille)
  • Parents height (Taille des parents)
  • Weight (Poids)
  • Parents weight (Poids des parents)
  • Head circumference (Périmètre crânien)
  • Sitting height (Taille assis)

Age range 3-11 years charts:

  • Height (Taille)
  • Parents height (Taille des parents)
  • Weight (Poids)
  • Parents weight (Poids des parents)
  • Sitting height (Taille assis)

Age range 9-22 years charts:

  • Weight (Poids)

  • Sitting height (Taille assis)

Age range 0-22 years charts:

The French charts are currently being redesigned and the Growth Chart Component will be updated to reflect these changes.
